Listener error - Message 850

Hi Guys,

I am getting the following error while starting the listener. This is a Oracle 9i database on WINDOWS.

D:\>lsnrctl

Message 850 not found; No message file for product=NETWORK, facility=NL

Hi newcomer,

This error occurs due to wrong setting of environment variables in the registry.
Set the following environment variables correctly and try :
ORACLE_SID
ORACLE_HOME
PATH => should also have ORACLE_HOME/bin
