DBCA: DIM - 00019 Create Service Error
We have 9.2.0.4 installed on Win 2003.
User is a domain admin and also member of the ORA_DBA groups.
When trying to run some batch files supplied by a 3rd party that use templates and the DBCA to create an instance it fails with:
DIM-00019: Create Service Error.
All the online help points at it being a privileges problem but I can't see what or how as I'm ad admin user.
The Oradim.log just says 'instance deleted'
Anyone else encountered this?

Tried running the DBCA GUI to create a default DB and it fails with the same message, followed by ORA-12560 : Protocol Adaptor Error.

Search on metalink. There are lots of threads that deal with this.

Yup and they all seem to deal with the privileges of the user account.
As my network admins say thet the domain admin has every privilege imaginable it can't be that. But thats what Metalink tells me.
We uninstalled Oracle and reinstalled 9.2.0.1 and didn't patch to 9.2.0.4 and the batch scripts and DBCA worked ok. Is there a difference between the DBCA in 9.2.0.1 and 9.2.0.4 (I can't see there being one???).
