    TNS-12570 TNS:packet reader failure

A problem that I solved earlier today.

Since bouncing my companies development server yesterday,i got a funny error - TNS-12570 TNSacket reader failure -

I checked the trace prior to the bounce and found that a NON-ORACLE Microsoft DBA changed tns parameters. He added very bad parameters to my sqlnet.ora.

Problem solved...and now I'm going to kick his ass!!

    Have a happy day.

Since yu have bothered to inform us that you have successfully solved your problem (like anyone realy cares about that ), would you at least take a few seconds of your time and tell us something usefull? Like, where did that error appear (in the alert file? on the application front end? ....). And what were those "very bad parameters" in your sqlnet.ora?

That way someone might even learn something out of this thread....
