    Is there any free tool to convert export dump file into txt file?

    Is there any free tool which can convert the export dump file
    into txt file?

    no since the dumps is banary.

    you can do an import with show=y but it won't show data

    define "txt file".

    Do you mean "convert the data to SQL commands" or do you mean "Create the ddl to create the structures?"

    errrrr ummm
    indexfile=yourfile.txt gives all the ddl commands.
    Oracle it's not just a database it's a lifestyle!

    He is requesting for a tool that converts dump file to text . not indexfile=//...txt. I think what he mean is all ddl statements and all insert/update statements to recreate the schema with data. or to easily migrate Schema to another servers like sql server or db2.

    If this is the case I think we need to contact www.oracle.com (President Oracle corp Nasdaq code:Orcl)
