    Statspack .snap Problem

    Hi,

When I run statspack.snap in production database it gives me error-

    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00001: unique constraint (PERFSTAT.STATS$SQL_SUMMARY_PK) violated
    ORA-06512: at "PERFSTAT.STATSPACK", line 1148
    ORA-06512: at "PERFSTAT.STATSPACK", line 2134
    ORA-06512: at "PERFSTAT.STATSPACK", line 72
    ORA-06512: at line 1

I did run SPTRUNC.SQL to remove all data from perfstat schema and tried to run statspack.snap again. But the problem still exists.

Any suggestion to fix the problem.?
Can I import perfstat schema from test instance to production .what would be best thing to do.

    I would appreciate your help.

    Thanks

might be a bit overkill, but you could run spdrop and spcreate again

sounds like maybe your sequence numbers are off.

I had the same thought but didn't want to say it. The SPTRUNC.SQL script must not be working.

Unless you have data that you want to save, dropping and recreating the statspack user is the easiest way. Of course if you wanted to save the data you wouldn't run SPTRUNC.SQL.
