Help,
I have a developer who is receiving the following error in the test database daily and sometimes in prod.
This error is followed by a disconnect.
DataWindow Error
Select error: ORA-01041: internal error.hostdef extension doesn't exist.
I have checked my alert log and trace files to find nothing. I am thinking this error is on the client side, since I show no errors.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Thanks in advance
Kathy
Were there any trace files in udump or anything in listener.log?
I would guess it's either a bug in the Oracle Client code or a bug in the client application. But that's just a guess.
I don't see anything in the udump or the listener.log
Thanks for the input. I'll keep looking
This is what oerr on Unix says :
$ oerr ora 1041
01041, 00000, "internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist"
// *Cause: Pointer to hstdef extension in hstdef is null.
// *Action: Report as a bug
