    Shutdown on NT

I've never used NT before and I need to shut some NT based DB's down over the weekend. Have read the documentation and just wanted to sanity check my understanding. To stop the DB I can either use Shutdown immediate from SQL Plus OR stop the service from the control panel?
Also should I be stopping any service the begins Oracle and has a status of Started?
The box is being shutdown for a power outage - I'm assuming that any services with a startup status of "Automatic" will re-start once the box has been powered back on?
Noddy questions but just wanted to make sure!
    Cheers,
    Fraze

Those are fine. You can also do a net stop service_name from a command prompt.

Check the services marked as Manual startup. if you want them to restart when the box boots up (ie so YOU don't have to be there to do it) then set them to Automatic and forget about it... :-)
