Thread: creating an ALIASE

    I want to create an aliase in two databases using Net 8 easy config, but I have no idea how it's done. Can any one go through the steps systematically in creating an Aliase please?

    Hi,

    In Net 8 Easy config fill in the following details

    Service name = name of database sid (ex. orcl)

    Choose protocol as Tcp/ip

    Port as 1521

    and that's it

    you'll be able to connect by username/passwd@servicename
