    Question ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters

    I have created the database manually and when i want to start it , i get the following error:-
    ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters
    LRM-00109: could not open parameter file 'd:/abudb/Pfile/abudb.ora'

    i have created the abudb.ora in the default location which is oracleHOme/database and in this file i have put a pointer which is(ifile=d:/abudb/Pfile/abudb.ora) to denote the nondefault location of the initialization file . so why is it not working??!!

    Either the file is not there or you do not have permission.
