did you receive an error when you tried the German character set?

    could you display it?

are there English characters that do not appear in German?

    i received no erors...

the data was just loaded unchanged(with the strange characters):

    Hüsker Dü^A Husker Du

yes there are english characters that don't appear in German as they should.

basically, i want to be able to load english and german alphabets.

if you do not load the 'ü', it will not be generated from the 'ü' .

German characters are a superset of English characters as far as i know.
