    Database configuration assistant error - can not create instance: 9i on XP

    I'm trying to install 9i database (9.2) on XP proffessional. Database configuration assistant failed during installation, and also failed after I try to manualy start it: at about 81% of installation, database configuration assistant error occures with no additional message. Instance was already created by that time, and also XP service, as well as database files, but all of that is erased after confirming error window. Also, two trace files are created during configuration process, but they are also deleted after confirming dialog window. I've managed to save those files, and here are the messages which they contains:
    "open failed for memers of log group 1"
    "OS error ..."
    ... (for all three redo log groups)
    Any suggestions ?

    1. Post error messages in $ORACLE_HOME/assistants/dbca/logs/SIDNAME.log
    2. Post/Look for logfiles in $ORACLE_HOME/admin/SIDNAME/create
