    Question Dump Memory Error

    Hello Oracle Gurus

    I am facing a problem again & again. Actually we ate using a tailor based erp package and the developer has written queries in sucn a way that after evert 5-10 diff. whole application gets locked means if a 2 users simlutaneouly creating purchase order or gate pass for different units system locks the database and in the dump file it gives dump memeory error. my utlbstat & estat gives optimum performance chat. i have tried every thing but i vain. please help

    check for latch wait ratio that may be redo log latch or buffer latch for that reason your transaction is to be wait and not suffecient resources found os goes into dump state

    Find out that the system uses PESSIMISTIC lock or OPTIMISTIC lock.

    If it uses pessimistic, ask the developer to change it to optimistic.

    If the developer does not know any thing about lock, fire him.
