    Oracle 92 Home growing ?

    Oracle 92 Home growing ?

After installed Oracle9i on window 2000, I found the size of Oracle Home continue increasing, it is going to out of disk space, what's the reason?
    The situation as below:
    1. OracleHome and Admin folders are put in an independent drive A, the disk space is 25G, it seems OracleHome increasing everyday in 200M speed. Why?
    2. I checked all backgroud and trace folder--udump, bdump...under Admin folder, the trace file size is limited, no more than 1 M.
    3. I put all control files, redo, archive, datafiles on another different drive B.
So both trace files and database files would not affect the size of drive A, but why OracleHome is growing? Suppose those program files would not growing after installation.

    Thanks!

please check $ORACLE_HOME/network/log folder, there will be some listener.log and other log files, Those you need to trim regularly.

Not only that but you can do a search for which files have been modified over the past 24 hours. You'll be sure to catch the culprets that way.
    Oracle it's not just a database it's a lifestyle!

Thanks Dilip, OracleDoc and Nagarjuna's suggestion!

I found network trace file made OracleHome growing -- every trace file has at least 200MB, and I didn't delete it since March 10, 2004.

The trace file ate my disk space!
