    services.ora not being updated

    Hi all,

I am running Oracle 9.2.0.4 on Linux advance server 2.1.

using net manager, I tried to add the Oracle listener and my listener.ora got updated with the new database I just add. So I did stop the agent and restart the agent on the server, for some reason, the services.ora is not being updated which it suppose to be.

    ANy advises????

Delete and discover your node again.

I think you missed the concept, deleting and discovering the node is not going to update the node, it's the other way around. If your services.ora is not being updated, the database won't show up once you updated the node.

you could refresh the node though... see if that works.

    OracleDoc,

if the services.ora is not being updated with the database name, refreshing the node won't discover any database.

Thank you. I'm well aware of the concepts and what a delete node and re-discover does.

I didn't say that discovering a node will update the node, did I?! It'll update your services.ora..
