    Unhappy Controlfile Corrotto

    Salve a tutti.
    Il mio database in Oracle 8i Standard Edition su un sistema operativo Win2000 non partiva più perchè il sistema non leggeva più un settore del disco dove di trova uno dei tre controlfile, per ovviate al problema ho fatto uno shutdown abort ho cambiato il file di startup di oracle escludendo il controlfile incriminato e ho fatto ripartire il mio database con successo.
    Adesso vorrei creare un altro controlfile (rimanere con due soli controlfile mi sembra un pò azzardato)... quale procedura è più indicata?

    Se poteste scrivere in inglese il vostro problema potrebbe essere capito più meglio. Ho provato a tradurre il vostro messaggio ma non potrei capire l'intero problema. Proveremo il nostro la cosa migliore per aiutarli comunque

    If you now make normal shutdown (not abort) you can then simply copy one of the good control files to replace the bad one - and change the init.ora again. But it might be a good idea to replace the faulty disk too!

    Da*n DaPi I'm impressed! all I could extract out of that mess was something about a control file.

    Come on - Italian is easy. For example, just look at the begining:

    Salve a tutti.
    Il mio database in Oracle 8i Standard Edition . . .

    which translates directly as:

    Fire guns at ballerinas' dresses.
    Millions of sick Oracle 8i Standard Edition databases . . . .
