    Automatic startup in linux

    hi

    i want to start Oracle 8.1.7 auotmatcially in Linux advance server

    so shall i add the oracle startup command entry in

    /etc/rc.d or
    /etc/init.d
    /etc/inittab

    which file can u please tell

    Read the installation guide. It tells you exactly what you need to do.
