    Recover encrypted Database ??

I was looking into database encryption and I saw it mentioned in one of the websites that "Database Recovery takes longer because you have to decrypt encrypted fields" - I am not able to reason why, but does anyone know if this is true ?

ok that note says "database recovery takes longer because you have to decrypt encrypted fields"

I don't know what that has to do with reocvery. I mean if you reover a data file is the method any different for an encrypted vs unencrypted database? I would'nt think so, anyone else wanna chime in?
