    Memory Leaking

    Memory Leaking

    In my production box, in every 30 minutes I am getting this errors.
    I will really appreciate your time and help. Any Idea?

    how about patch to 8.1.7.4?

    Hi Pando,

    Thanks for reply. Do you think it is due to Patch? I have 8.1.7.3. Did you come accross this same problem already?

    What Pando is saying is apply patch 8.1.7.4 There was a memory leak intermittiantly(sp) in the privious releases that wasn't fixed until .4 of course if it's still present, after you patch it. Oracle is just going to tell you to upgrade to 9i or 10g anyway
    but I must say I haven't heard of any memory leaks in .4 anyone else?
    Oracle it's not just a database it's a lifestyle!

    If there was no ora-600, Oracle shop would have been closed long time ago.

    You do if you run Windoze. Patch level 8.1.7.4.1.

    Metalink suggests the leak can be ignored if it's "small"
