But I'm having TERRIBLE TROUBLE with Excel, now that version 4 macros are no longer supported. If they had to change, why not FORTRAN instead of this Visual Basic thingy . . .
Ouch! It took me a couple of years just to realize how da*n huge Oracle really is.
Looking at the OBE course content
1 What It Takes to Administer a Database (No additional materials correspond to this chapter)
2 Installing Oracle and Building the Database
3 Getting Started with Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control
4 Configuring the Network Environment
5 Managing the Oracle Instance
6 Managing Database Storage Structures
7 Administering Users and Security
8 Managing Schema Objects
9 Performing Backup and Recovery
10 Monitoring and Tuning the Database
... aint that a bit too much to learn in two days? Maybe it'd need three, or even four days?
Seriously, though, somehow I don't like that. Why not name the course/concept '2 day very very short introduction ...' (big O being a company, of course, I understand they want a quicker sell)
However, if this course, OBE and documentation (from docu library, B10742-02) means that you also read Concepts and Admin Guide, it could be in the right direction.
Happy Easter folks!
ps. I'm on leave til thursday ds.
