    RMAN backup piece sizes

    Hi all,

I am using RMAN to backup our databases. They are backed up directly to tape. I would like to find out the size of each indiviaul piece written to tape. Is there a view and/or parameter i can put in the command file to see the final size of the piece?

Thanks for your help in advance,
    Chucks_k

    Hi,

Thanks for that. Had an extensive look at the site u gave however no joy!. The list command has so many options but none to give the size of backup pieces. Has anyone got any other suggestions?

    Thanks

What kind of backupset is it?

Table 2-3 List of Backup Sets (for datafile backup sets) ......

    BS Key
    Type
    LV
Size..... The size of the backup in bytes.
    Device Type
    Elapsed Time
    Completion Time
