    Tuning DW vs. OLTP

    What is the top 5 tuning differentce between tuning a pretty large DW database and pretty large OLTP database?

    Jeff I am thinking of Tuning criteria which is different in Datawarehouse env and OLTP environemt. For example one thing I kniw since DW env has lots of FTS then multiple_block_read_count init parametere needs to higher in DW env. These kind of things. Now what is top 5 tuning practice difference?

    There is no difference between tuning DW and OLTP.

    You need to first write down acceptance level of performance, and start working towards that.
