JDBC hangs

We have JDK 1.3 and Oracle 9.0.1.0 on Linux 7.3.

JDBC connectivity make total hangs to Tomcat server and also Oracle server. Any idea?

Is there any incompatibility between versions?

my questions:

1. Where did you get classes12.zip/classes12.jar ?
2. at jdbc connection, did you catch Exception? if so what is the error? if not, put it on try{}catch and gimme the error (if any).
