    web forms set-up

    Hi Friends,

I want to deploy forms on the web. Im still confused on what
    web server set-up to use.

    a) In our cd installer for ORACLE FORMS 6i, it contains
a FORMS SERVER INSTALLAION OPTIONS which we installed
    in our development server.

    b) In our Database server, we have installed a WEB DB.

    c) In our apps server we have also installed ORACLE 9iAS
    apache server.

I believe all of these are needed in deploying forms on web.
Do i need all 3? or just one and which one is better
    to use?

    Thanks a lot.

Convert your 6i fmb's to 9i fmb's with either Oracle9iDS or the newer 10g version (do the 10g one, it's easy to do, no patches, also download from OTN). Install Application Server 10g (9.0.4) Forms and Reports Services (download from OTN). Configure default.env and formsweb.cfg files in the AS ORACLE_HOME/forms90/server directory (same place for running forms via the developer tool). It's a relative piece of cake.
