ghost tablespace?

Hi ppl

I have recenty find a problemwhen i query dba_tablespaces and dba_data_files and v$datafile in order to find out what tablespaces are present and which files etc. There is one tablespace, the temporary one which never shows up in none of these views and the only way to find ts existence is through Enterprise Manager. Anyone know any reason about this?

Hi ,
Which version of oracle are you using.if you are using 8.0(upwards),then i think the problem is due to the fact that the tablespace was created using the temporary option.(i'm not too sure)i too faced this problem some time back but i don't remember the exact reason for this.but if this is the reason,let me know.Thanks.

the version is 8.1.5 now migrated to 8.1.6, it didnt appear before migration nor after. There is another temporary tablespace and that one does appear :o
However the one which everyone use is the one that I can only see from OEM
