    Import problem

    Export ran succesfully without any errors.

    When I try to import, it terminate with this error during importing a particular table........rest of the tables not imported.samething happened when I import into 8.1.6 as well as 9.2.0(hp-ux)

    IMP-00009: abnormal end of export file
    IMP-00018: partial import of previous table completed: 1760558 rows imported.
    Import terminated successfully with warnings.

    Export from 8.1.6 /HP ux 11.11

    I am sure FTPd binary mode only...not found valid answer in Metalink.

    Can any one help me....tks

    Same problem arised for me once.
    I used
    ignore=y commit=y full=y ..

    parameters that time and imported fine.

    I tried 3 different dates , got 3 dumps. Each one giving the same error at the same point....is it caz this table having a long column?

    My other parameters:

    FULL=Y FILE=exp_ame_full_30jan04.dmp
    IGNORE=Y INDEXES=N ANALYZE=N COMMIT=Y buffer=6400000 LOG=ame_full_30jan04_imp.log

    Does your size of export dump file create problem ?

    Is it more than 2 GB ?

    Yes....I use Pipe for export as well as import...

    Export log says "completed without any errors" all 3 times.
