Raid Configuration--Help required
We are installing a new oracle db of size 20gb
2scsi harddisks of 36gbs each.
With hardware Raid controller
which Raid configuration is better
for our OLAP and Batch processes,
with oracle 8 database and 40 users.
Now we are running Raid 5 in another server,
but hit with performance issues.
Can we go for Raid 1,0.

2 disks? The only thing you can do is RAID 0 or RAID 1, not RAID 0+1 nor 5.

Please advice.

Also advice me on the partitions
of these hardisks.
More logical partitions will help us..?
We dont have any SA in our company.Freelance SA will do that.
