Government Database Architect Needed
Hi everyone,
I've recently gotten involved in this project:
http://www.populocracy.com
The basic concept is to develop a game and/or Internet-based simulation of a pure Democracy, with real-world consequences for actions in the simluation/game in order to test the feasibility of the concept of Internet voting as a replacement for Representative voting (i.e. Congress).
It is a pretty exciting project, and is currently in the Architecture stage, because there aren't enough developers involved yet. If anyone with UML and DB (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MaxDB, or SAP) experience wants to get involved, please join up and give us a hand!
This is going to be a lot of fun - it's a chance to impact society by presenting our governments with real data telling them how the people of the world feel. Additionally, the project is NPO, owned equally by all participants. That means if you get involved, you own it!
Unfortunately, there's no monetary compensation for this project, as it's not a for-profit venture. However, it's a chance to have a positive impact on society!
Thanks for your consideration!
Steve
