Archive Log Missing
Hi all!
There is my problem:
My Oracle 8.1.7 in on archivelomg mode. When I do a Hot Backup it fails saing that "archived log E:\ORACLE\ORADATA\CENTRAL\ARCHIVE\CENTRALT001S00521.ARC not found or out of sync with catalog
This file really doesn´t exists. It was deleted on my server.
Ok. My first archivelogfile is CENTRALT001S00825. My question is: How can I say to Oracle that it is my first file, and that it has to start backup from this, and not from CENTRALT001S00521?
I really thanks by your help!!

change archivelog all crosscheck;
Since you are missing an archived redo log, you should take a full backup IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise you might not be able to recover up to current.

Thanks for all answers!!
Will it be a good Idea to put my Db on "NOARCHIVELOG" mode, close and start it and, next, put it again on "ARCHIVELOG" mode, and close and start it again? If I do that, will not it to start a new sequence of ARL??
May this cause any trouble on my db?

You can put your DB in noarchivelog mode for as long as you want. However, realize your backup is in jeapordy while the database is in noarchivelog mode. If you must be in noarchivelog mode, when you switch back, immediately take a full backup.
