Question Read all files in Directory

    Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to read the contents of a physical directory on the database server 'C:\test'? I'm using the UTL_FILE package on Oracle 9.0.1 on Windows 2000 AS so I can't use the new DIRECTORY command. From what I've been able to gather, it's not possible to read the contets of a directory using the UTL_FILE package but I was hoping there was another way. I basically want to read the all the names of the files in a directory.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

I've seen this before on asktom.oracle.com. Here's the link for how he does it. I searched for "read files in directory" in case the link below doesn't come across right on the forum.
