    Which DB tools is best

    Hi all,
    I am just wonder what is the best or I should said what are those most cost effective DB Tools in market for the End User to adopt.

    Please give the comments for the tools.

    Hi,
    I am looking for a tools which can manage the DB admin tasks, such as able to scheduling jobs, job alert .... which is very similar to Oracle Enterprise Manager.

    Any information will be very appreaciated. Thanks

    whats weong with OEM, it comes with the database

    Sorry, Nothing wrong with OEM. It just that the licensing price is more expensive.

    Try products of Quest.

    Toad is a nice tool. (has a free license version too)

    Talking Try InternetDBA - Its free

    InternetDBA is giving out its DBA tool free. This is the desktop version...sort of.

    Its a Web tool but the free version will run through your browser without the need to install a Web server locally.

    It doesn't claim to have all the features of some other tools but is pretty neat. Includes capacity planning, performance tune and change management.

    We are always looking for feedback on the tool and like to adopt the 'Keep it simple' principle!
