Hi everyboby! I was checking an Oracle 9i Database when I saw that It has 345 files with .arc extension (archivelog files), some of then 3 months old. How can I delete then if my backups are ok? Where can I set a retention time for then?
Since now Thanks,

I would rather suggest u to copy those files to tape. Make sure copy was successful and then delete if you want to.
Read the backup and recovery manual, u will need those files to recover ur database in case of a crash and how many of them are needed will depend on the backup.
Read the manuals "Backup and Recovery". The link has been provided by Jeff.
