Thread: block corruption question

    Hello,
    working on redhat linix 6 with 8i oracle db. Wanted to find out how to figure out if database has block corruption.
    and how to resolve / fix it. I believe i can use dbverify but whats the syntax for that. is there a white paper on that?

    u can take the help of dbverify.
    on the prompt, u run dbv file=<data_filename> log=<log_filename> blocksize=<logical_block_size>
