How to get view v$cache in Oracle8i?

    Hello,

I want to install the view 'V$CACHE' in my Oracle8i-db, must I run the "[home]\rdbms\admin\catparr.sql"-script?

This script does seem to create the view, but also creates all kind of other stuff. I don't think this is harmfull, but I would really like to hear if there's some problem with it. (I also want to use this view in my production-db)

    Thanks in advance,
    Erik

catparr.sql creates parallel server data dictionary views so theres houldnt be any issue creating them.
