Agent is out of sync with OMS

    Hi all,

I have Oracle 8i and 9i running on the same machine. Now this server can't contact with the management server anymore. Any thought of what caused the problems??? and how to fix it???

    thanks

My guess is that he/she restarted the agent or Re-discovered the oms node.

If oms was on windows, I'm with you on the reboot .. that fixes EVERYTHING right?

    Nope. Not EVERYTHING.
My agents are not starting since the 9.2 version. I don't know why...
I have a thread on this subject, right here.

I have 8i and 9i running on the same oms machine. OMS and the agent pickup both versions.

What platform are you having the problem on? Win/Unix/Linux? If on Win, make sure the service "startup type" is "Automatic" and it probably wouldn't hurt to check your logs.

If on Unix/Linux, check your startups (/etc/rc) for "oemctrl start oms" and "agentctl start".
