i just have knowledge about SQL,and worked with MS SQL Server for years.i want to study Oracle ,can anyone give me some tips.it seems that there are a lot of defference between them.
by the way, i am just a programmer, not DBA,i just want to use Oracle in my program.
Do you want to learn Oracle in general or DBA skills?
If you are going after the DBA path I'd say stick with SQL Server since you have a head start already, and as we all know Bill gates is going to take over the world. Once you have aquired good DBA skills the concepts can transfer over to other platforms, Oracle, DB2, ect..
As a programmer you may want to start looking at PL/SQL as well.
