remove oracle from services
hi
i uninstalled Oracle 816 using the Oracle Installer and deinstalled all the components of Oracle.
After restart of the pc, I still found 2 entries in the Services screen, the listener and the database were present, but were stopped.
How do I remove oracle from the services screen ?
I am using Windows 2000 Server with SP4.
thanks

This only helps to remove the oracleserviceORACLE_SID.
For listener service, you have to do as karthik_s9 said.

Oracle services.
At the command prompt type:
c:>oradim -delete -sid
This most likely will remove the service from windows, if not then you can got to the registry and remove those services

Sigh.....those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end.

Hi,
Best way to remove old entries from the services windows is to delete them from the registry as suggested in the previous posting from one of our friends.
Re-Start your PC for changes to take effect.
Hope this helps!
