    Oracle RAC installation on a single node Linux

    Hi,

    I am wondering if any body has done a Oracle RAC installation on a single node Linux8 box.If you could share your experiences specifically about installing *.rpm.

    What has RPM (Redhat Package Manager) files got to do with RAC. RPM files are Linux package files containing OS related software.

    AFAIK Oracle has no relation with RPM. If you have any specific doubt in mind then little more explanation will be better...

    And if you want RAC on single node linux then have a look at this document on metalink....

    But then the above steps are for Oracle9i RAC.
