    discovering new nodes on OEM

    Hi all,

    I have my OEM running on Windows 2000 and I used this machine as Oracle Management Server, everything is working ok on this machine and other database server running on Widnwos 2000 server. I have one machine running on Linux Redhat Advance server 2.1. I was able to ping and connect to the database running on this mahine; however, I can discover the nodes from this windows 2000 and the Linux server. Is there any trick around ??? any port I have to open????

    Make sure that agents are running on both clients machine.
    There may be conflict of Oracle Agent service with snmptd.
    Stop snmptd on Linux Server and then try again. Pls read "Oracle SNMP
    Support Reference Guide" in order to resolve that conflict.
