    Logging the DB activities.

    Oracle experts/DBAs,

In our project there is a requirement to have a log of what all transpired through the day on Oracle. This is Oracle 8i on Win 2000 server

This is an investigative step to identify root cause of a problem that
    has been hampering our operations.

What we are looking for is something equivalent to a System Activity
Report (SAR) available on Unix to do a post mortem of the entire days
    work.

Note - we do not have any of the fancy DBA tools/products available in
the market & have to rely on what is provided with Oracle.

    Thanks in advance,
    Prashanth.
