    Inserting external data

    Hi,

    I'm looking for a way to insert data into an Oracle database which is stored in an external Interbase database (probably using ODBC).

    I have to gather a lot of data from different sources and put them all together for analisys. Not only one schema but all schema's in all databases ( if you can help me out on this please give me some tips or hints ). The real chalange is to extract data from other databases ( not Oracle ) and invoke it into Oracle.

    Can this be done and if so....how?

    Please help me out on this.

    Couple of options

    * Oracle Hetrogenious Services (not sure if it supports the other DB u are wanting the data to be moved).

    * ETL tool.

    Transparent gateways

    * ETL tool.

    One of them (most commonly used) will be Informatica.
