    ora error

    Hi

    I am newto linux.and I installed oracle 9i on Linux 7.1

    when I try to mount I get the following error

    ora-00209 : control file block size mismatch ..check alert log file
    my block size is 4 i gave


    What am i missing.do i need to set up any thing at OS level

    Pls help

    On your alert.log did you see an ORA-218 error. You cannot just modify your primary block size.

    well ..I installed the instance through dbca.by default the block size was 8 and i changed to 4.

    do you think that cuased.so i need to reinsatll the instance again
