Once I had the same idea, but I gave up with it becasue I read that difference between "silent-responsefile-installation" and GUI is that "silent-responsefile-installation" download all GUI but only do not display them.

Yes, I found out that root.sh should be executed after the silent installation.
BUT, the most annoying thing of all is that even though this is a non-gui instalaltion you'll have to set a DISPLAY!!!

A non-gui installation that requires a gui!! How's that!..
I believe this problem is java, that requires the DISPLAY variable set...but it's really poor that Oracle can't provide a COMPLETELY non-gui-installation...
