    Question end-of-file on communication channel

    Hi all,

    We just received this error starting Business Objects.

    ORA-03113 end-of-file on communication channel


    Thinking online help would be more helpfull we got this.
    bash-2.05b$ orrr ora 03113
    03113, 00000, "end-of-file on communication channel"
    // *Cause:
    // *Action:

    Could someone ellaborate on this please?

    3113 is a very generic error, could mean anything.

    Out of memory? You dont mention OS or version, kernel settings

    could really be anything

    Look in the server alert log, and any trace files produced, for more details on the error stack.
