Question Downgrading from Enterprise to Standard Edition (version 8.1.7)

We need to downgrade from Enterprise Edition to Standard Edition. I would like to know if anyone has done this (according to Oracle's Metalink)? If so, what was the procedure?

Everything in Metalink kept refering to Note: 139642.1. This note to me seems to be incomplete. Would this be the high-level steps according to Note 139642.1?

    1) Full export of the current Enterprise Edition database.
    2) Uninstall the Enterprise Edition.
    3) Install the Standard Edition.
    4) Import the .dmp file from the Enterprise Edition.

Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

Hmm, seems like a lot of work, but I've never done it. I'm not sure why you couldn't just install SE in a new $OH, shutdown the database, switch to the new $OH, startup your database, re-run catalog.sql, catproc.sql (just for kicks) and go....

Of course, I may be way off base here...
