    exporting file to other box

i don't have enough space to accommodate the export dump of a 140GB oracle 8174 database on the production solaris box and want the export file to be created on another linux box having 9203 binaries.
any ideas on how to trigger export from solaris box so that export dump is created on the linux box?

You can install 8174 client on your linux box and run export there.

    Hi.

Alternatively, map/mount the remote filesystem and just use this as your path in the file= parameter. This way the file gets generated directly on the remote server with no Oracle installations.
