Angry What privilege does the account need to run Oracle service in Win2K?

    Hi,

I am having ora-12638 error (error retrieving credentials) when I tried to use OS authentication when logging in as a domain user. I don't have any problem when logged in as local user though.

And by searching the previous post and checking oracle site, it seems like the authentication service failed to retrieve the credentials of a user. And that seems I have a problem with the admin right on that machine.

So what previlege does that account need to run Oracle service? When I checked the account on my box, it was defaulted to LocalService account, which I guess was created by install.

    Any hint is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Domain User should have "Log on as a Service" Privis ( Check in Local Policy Settings )
