shutting down and start up

Hi Applications gurus,

I am new to Apps Env., I want to shut donw my Application(Ver.11i) and strat after perform cold backup. Is any guide lines how to do? and necessary important steps to take care...

It is very greatful if any one give such suggestion clearly...

Hi,

This should all be documented in the Sys Admin guide somewhere.

The steps should be
1) as applmgr run $COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts/SID/adstpall.sh /

2) as database user shutdown the database

3) back up

4) as database user startup database

5) as applmgr run $COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts/SID/adstrtal.sh /

$COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts/SID/adstpall.sh apps/apps*

$COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts/SID/adstrtal.sh apps/apps*

*change for your apps username and password
