    DBCA,EMCA,ELA - not working

    Hi

I tried to install oracle workflow in my machine.

Thought it would install oracle workflow configuration assistant. But it didnt. It did install oracle workflow server which i need to manually execute(some of the scripts i beleive).

When i tried to login using Enterprise manager, nothing works. In fact the same thing for DBCA and Enterprise login assistant.

for DBCA i get this error.

    exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError : oracle/bali/share/sort/comparator

    at oracle.sysman.assistants.dbca.backend.host
    oracle.sysman.assistants.dbca.ui.UIHost.

    and some more errors.

Any idea what needs to be done as everything was working fine before this. Nothing happens for EMCA and ELA.

    Thanks

    Srini

    Hello,

You must be more specific than that, before someone here can help you.

You could start by mentioning the versions of the products/OS.

Maybe you must focus on one product/problem at a time and not all the problems at once.
    - Did you startup all the services (in case of NT)?
    - Check your log files for errors
    - Did you install a repository for the enterprise manager? Can you login to that database? After that, try to startup the enterprise manager. If that works, try to solve the next problem...

    HTH,

Sorry, but i'm not familiar with that product.

Try to find log files in the subdirectory of that product, also check the alert log of the target db.

Try to obtain a username and password for METALINK. There you can find more problems concerning that product. Maybe your problem was already solved.

it's a bug on 8.1.7.4.1 if I am not mistaken, if you are running on Xeon processor.
