    listener can't be started, urgent!!!

    ORACLE9i, win2000 server.

    The ORACLE9i was installed succesfully, but the listener can't be started in the service of control panel,the error message is something like ' the listener service can't be started , but no error is produced.maybe due to windows problem, pls check with the system sdministrator'.

    Anybody has any hint, please help!!!
