Can install 8.1.7.4 on Red Hat Linux 9

Anyone manage to install 8.1.7.4 on Red Hat Linux 9? Do I need to perform or download something different from the installation on RH 7.0 or 7.1 ?

    (dual opteron, kernel 2.4.20)

    thanks

Not sure about 8.1.7.4 but I did install successfully 9.2.0.1 on RH9.

Richie how are the dual opterons performing? Are you using 64bit linux or standard 32bit? There is 64 bit beta version of Oracle 9.2 on technet, maybe you should try it
